REIGNING LEINSTER CLUB champions Mount Leinster Rangers were dumped out of the Carlow SHC by Naomh Eoin earlier today.
MLR, who were beaten by Portumna in the All-Ireland club final last St. Patrick’s day, trailed deserved victors Naomh Eoin for the majority of the game, often by three points or more.
Elsewhere, 2012 Leinster club champions Kilcormac-Killoughey saw off 2011 Leinster club champions Coolderry in the semi-final of the Offaly SHC.
K/K are chasing a three-in-a-row in the Faithful county and will take on St. Rynagh’s in the final for the second time in three years. The Banagher club had a convincing 2-17 to 2-7 win over Seir Kieran in the other semi-final.
