Paddy Madden completes move to Scunthorpe United

The former Bohs man drops down the divisions in search of first-team football.

IRELAND INTERNATIONAL Paddy Madden has signed for League Two side Scunthorpe United on a two-and-a-half-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The 23-year-old former Bohs striker joins from Yeovil Town, having been part of a squad that was promoted to the Championship through the play-offs last year.

“I have had the feeling of promotion last season with Yeovil and I am hungry for more promotion so I am excited by this new challenge,” Madden said today.

“Things were not working out at Yeovil Town so when I got told the chairman and gaffer here was on to me I was interested. Scunthorpe are a very ambitious club and I want to be part of that.

“Winning titles is what I strive to do. I want to win as much silverware as I can. We are in a fantastic position at the top of the league and I want to come in here and help them win the league.”
