Former Man United prodigy facing Lazio exile
RAVEL MORRISON FACES the prospect of being frozen out at Lazio completely after he refused to join a club in Serie B.
The 23-year-old former Manchester United midfielder, once considered one of English football’s top prospects, has played just 53 minutes in Serie A this season, and was linked with a move away on deadline day to Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
Salernitana are currently battling relegation in Serie B and are also owned by Lazio president Claudio Lotito, who admits that Morrison rejected the loan move.
“[Edson] Braafheid and Morrison refused to join Salernitana and I cannot force them to accept,” Lotito told Metropolis.
“I had also promised them some bonuses, but now they will stay at Lazio where they don’t play.”
