ROY CARROLL IS in line to make his debut for Linfield this evening when they face Cork City in the Europa League first qualifying round.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper, who enjoyed spells with Manchester United, Wigan Athletic and Olympiacos, signed a one-year contract with the NIFL Premiership side back in May.
However, Carroll was named in the Northern Ireland squad to travel to Euro 2016 so he has yet to play for the club.
Having returned from France after Michael O’Neill’s men were knocked out by Wales, the veteran stopper could make his bow at Windsor Park.
Linfield are these days managed by Carroll’s former international team-mate David Healy.
