REMEMBER ROY JONES JR promised to fight a fan?
Remarkably, the fight actually went ahead last night but the promoters were in no danger of having to hand over the $100,000 to Vyron Phillips who won a Facebook competition for the right to face the nine-time world champion.
Had Phillips — a 33-year-old MMA fighter with no professional boxing experience — beaten Jones, he stood to pocket $100,000.

The bout was sanctioned by The Arizona State Boxing Commission and headlined a pay-per-view bill on the American television channel UR Shows TV.
