SEAMUS POWER REMAINS in contention for his first PGA tour victory, sitting just two shots off the lead at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
The Waterford man is in joint second place alongside England’s Greg Owen on -10, while Grayson Murray leads.
Following a bogey-free opening round, Power hit a second round 69 in Mississippi. Claiming par on the first four holes, he went on to score birdies on the fifth and eighth and two more on the back nine. A bogey on the 16th hole was his lowest score.
The 29-year-old represented Ireland at this summer’s Olympic Games and only secured his PGA Tour scorecard in August, making his debut at the Safeway Open in California earlier this month.
