DUNDALK FC HAVE been handed a boost with the news that Sean Gannon has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal with the club.
Gannon joined the Lilywhites from St Patrick’s Athletic in 2014 and won three league titles with the club since then.
He’s also lifted two EA Sports Cups, an FAI Cup, a Leinster Senior Cup and the President’s Cup, as well featuring in both UEFA Champions League legs against Rosenborg of Norway.
In total he made 38 appearances in total and found the net twice in the 2017 campaign.
The 26-year-old was named right-back this year’s PFAI Team of the Season and Dundalk boss Stephen Kenny told the The Dundalk Democrat tonight that Gannon is “the best right back in the league.”
Dundalk are expected to announce the re-signings of further players over the next week.
