Ben Blake was at Ireland training in Vienna, ahead of tomorrow night’s World Cup qualifier. Paul Dollery is in New York for UFC205, and was at today’s weigh-in.
Shane Costello and Eoin Luc O’Ceallaigh had a chat with Artem Lobov, while Sean Farrell was at the Captain’s Run in the Aviva.
The Fixture List
Both our national rugby and soccer teams are in action tomorrow.
Ireland face Canada in the Aviva at 7.15pm, while across the water it’s England v South Africa (2.30pm), Scotland v Australia (2.30pm) and Wales v Argentina (5.30pm)
Ireland women also open their November Series against England at UCD on Sunday.
There are a host of World Cup qualifiers over the weekend. Ireland are in action against Austria in Vienna at 5pm (Live coverage on RTE2 and RTE Player from 4pm).
UFC205 also takes place tomorrow night, with McGregor’s fight taking place in the final card which starts at 3am Irish-time.
Sunday sees plenty of GAA club action.
- The Leinster championship is at the quarter-final stage, and throws up some tasty fixtures including St Vincents (Dublin) v Palatine (Carlow), Sean O’Mahony’s (Louth) v Sarsfields (Kildare), Rhode (Offaly) v Simonstown Gaels (Meath) and Mullinalagtha (Longford) v St Loman’s (Westmeath).
- The Ulster SFC semi-finals see Killyclogher (Tyrone) face Slaughtneil (Derry) and Kilcoo (Down) meet Maghery (Armagh).
- Munster are also in the semi-final stages; Dr Crokes (Kerry) take on Loughmore-Castleiney (Tipperary) and Carbery Rangers (Cork) are paired with The Nire (Waterford).
- In Connacht, Castlebar Mitchels (Mayo) and Corofin (Galway) go head to head for a final spot against either Aughawillan (Leitrim) or St Brigid’s (Roscommon).
And Sunday night brings the usual NFL madness.
