WATERFORD MAINTAINED THEIR six point advantage over Cobh Ramblers at the top of the SSE Airtricity League First Division tonight.

Paul Keegan’s 57th minute winner helped Waterford to a 1-0 victory over Longford Town in a tight affair at City Calling Stadium.

Cobh Ramblers enjoyed a 1-0 win against third placed UCD to keep their promotion hopes in full swing.

UCD had numerous chances to go ahead in the first-half, but Ramblers turned things around after the break. Darren Murphy hit the net 19 minutes from time with a drillled finish, and they held out for a vital three points.
