There's one man Mayo manager Stephen Rochford would love to pick if he was available

The new Mayo supremo is a huge fan of former Crossmolina teammate Ciaran McDonald.

MAYO’S NEW SENIOR football team manager Stephen Rochford took part in an online Twitter Q & A earlier today.

And when asked what Mayo player he would bring back from the past to play with the current crop, Rochford plumped for his former Crossmolina teammate Ciaran McDonald.

Rochford admitted that it would be difficult to choose from McDonald, Kenneth Mortimer and Liam McHale, but plumped for the gifted attacker.

If he was hosting a dinner party, Rochford would love to have Roy Keane, Brian O’Driscoll, Ronan O’Gara and Rory McIlroy at his his table.

Rochford had this message for Mayo fans desperate to see the county end an All-Ireland SFC famine dating back to 1951.

And Rochford joked that he would trail far behind McDonald in the pipe-laying stakes!

Check out Stephen’s personal Twitter page here, for his best answers.
