Abidal returns for Barca as all 4 remaining Champions League sides win

Preparations for their Champions League semi-finals couldn’t have gone better.

ERIC ABIDAL MADE his first start for Barcelona since  his much publicised liver transplant in their win against Levante on Saturday night.

The La Liga leaders had to wait until the 84th minute to wrap up all three points when Cesc Fabregas fired home from the edge of the area for the home side.

Second placed Real Madrid made much lighter work of their game with Real Betis to keep the gap at the top of La Liga at a seemingly insurmountable 13 points.

Mesut Özil was the star of the show for show for Madrid, scoring two goals.
