5 counties involved in tomorrow's All-Ireland hurling qualifier draw

The draw for Phase 2 takes place tomorrow morning on RTE Radio.

DUBLIN, KILKENNY, LAOIS, Clare and Tipperary will all be in the draw tomorrow morning for Phase 2 of the All-Ireland senior hurling championship qualifiers.

After today’s results both Dublin and Kilkenny will be in the draw after they finished all square in Portlaoise while Clare were defeated by eight points by Cork int the Gaelic Grounds.

They will join Tipperary and Laois in the draw which takes place on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1 tomorrow at 8.30am.

The two losing Munster semi-finalists, Clare and Tipperary, will be in one pot and they will be drawn to face the losing Leinster semi-finalists, Laois and Dublin/Kilkenny. The two clashes will take place on July 6th.

Laois entered this draw after being defeated by Galway last Sunday in O’Moore Park in Portlaoise by 2-17 to 1-13. While a fortnight ago, Tipperary lost out in the Munster semi-final against Limerick by 1-18 to 1-15 in the Gaelic Grounds.

Before that there are games next Saturday June 29th in Phase 1 of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers. Wexford, who defeated Antrim yesterday by 3-18 to 0-17, will face Carlow, who got a bye from the preliminary round, in Wexford Park.

While Westmeath will entertain Waterford in Mullingar. Westmeath defeated London in Ruislip yesterday by 1-14 to 0-11 while Waterford were 0-21 to 1-14 victors against Offaly last night in Tullamore.

The winners of the two Phase 1 clashes will advance to Phase 3 where they will be drawn to play the winners of the Phase 2 ties. The winners of the Phase 3 games on July 13th then advance to the All-Ireland quarter-finals on July 28th.
