VIDEO: Anderson Silva breaks our hearts with this emotional hospital visit

THE UFC star paid a visit to a wheelchair-bound fan and gave him some words of encouragement.

ANDERSON SILVA TOOK time out of his busy UFC schedule to visit a 12-year-old fan who is in hospital with a bone disease.

Joao Pedro, who considers the reigning middleweight champion to be his sporting hero, suffers from Epiphysiolysis, which has left him confined to a wheelchair.

Silva’s doctor, Eduardo Picanco, was contacted about the youth and set up a meet and greet.

Silva told Pedro, “I’m the one thankful for being here. Let’s get well. No crying, be happy. Let’s get well so we can train.

“Do you promise me that? That’s a deal. Let’s roll when you get well … but don’t choke the old man.”
