IRELAND INTERNATIONAL ANTHONY Stokes could soon be on his way out of Celtic.

The 27-year-old striker was left out of the match day squad for Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier against Qarabag FK and The Daily Mail are reporting that Hoops boss Ronny Delia has told the Dubliner he has no future in Glasgow.

“Anthony was left out because we found others better, so he has to fight to get back into the team again,’ said Delia.

I should hope he’s not happy as everyone should be angry if they don’t play but we’re a team with teamwork and you get what you deserve from how you play in training and matches.”

Stokes, capped nine times at senior level for Ireland, came through the ranks at Arsenal before being sold to Sunderland for £2 million in 2007. He moved to Scotland permanently two years later after joining Hibernian and was bought by Celtic in 2010.

He has scored 76 goals in 191 appearances for the current Scottish Premiership champions.
