ARGENTINA BEAT IRAN 1-0 after Lionel Messi curled in an injury time winner to spare his country’s blushes.

The Barcelona striker jinked inside his man at the edge of his box to send a shot arcing into the top corner. It was hard luck on Iran, who had several chances to win the game and a strong penalty claim that was waved away.
