Armagh GAA respond to Morgan criticism
ARMAGH GAA CHIEFS have responded to the heavy criticism of them by former county sponsor Hugh Morgan by pointing out that complications arose recently in the sponsorship deal.
In a hard-hitting statement Morgan launched a withering attack on the board and expressed his view that they had failed ‘to take decisive and strategic action to stem the decline of Armagh Football’.
Armagh announced last week that Rainbow Communications was to become their new jersey sponsors after Morgan’s company ‘Morgan Fuels’ had filled that role for several years.
Morgan hit back by releasing a statement that revealed he was to withdraw sponsorship for the county’s flagship stadium, the Athletic Grounds. But the row has continued with Armagh chiefs now offering their opinion.
The statement reads:
