ASTON VILLA STRIKER LIBOR Kozak has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a broken leg.
Kozak sustained the injury during a training session with the Premier League club, who confirmed on Thursday that the Czech Republic international would miss the remainder of the campaign.
The 24-year-old joined Paul Lambert’s side from Lazio in a £7 million ($11.5m) deal in pre-season and had scored four goals in 15 appearances for Villa this season.
The Club can confirm that Libor Kozak suffered a broken leg today in training,” a statement on Villa’s website revealed.
“He will undergo surgery tomorrow (Friday) and, regretfully, he will play no further part this season.”
