Midfielder Papakouly Diop says he did the routine as a way of ‘defusing’ the situation.

ATLETICO MADRID WERE surprisingly beaten 2-0 by Levante in La Liga earlier today meaning the three-way title race with Barcelona and Real Madrid is set to go down to the wire.

During the game, a number of Atleti fans racially abused Levante player Papakouly Diop by making monkey gestures as he atempted to take a corner.
