AUSTRALIA HAVE NAMED a 33-man squad for this year’s International Rules Series.
On 19 October, Ireland meet their AFL opponents at Cavan’s Kingspan Breffni Park before a second game is hosted by Croke Park a week later.
“We’re very confident that all our best players will be available to play for Australia, and why wouldn’t they?” Hawthorn forward Lance Franklin told the AFL wesbsite.
The AFL’s really backed us in terms of this tour, so we’re looking forward to getting over to Ireland.”
