THE ALLURE OF the Barbarians has waned somewhat in the last few years but they have rekindled the love inside of many fans over the last few days with their thrilling end-to-end encounters against Australia and Leicester.
They were narrowly defeated 40-36 by Australia on Saturday but this consolation try sums up the joie de vivre (sorry, I couldn’t resist) with which they played.
They played Leicester last night and this time ran out comfortable 59-26 winners but there was still some cracking rugby played by both sides. Champagne rugby galore!
The rugby world is a better place with the Barbarians in his kind of form.
