We all need to make friends with this Irishman who won a cheeky €245,000 accumulator

So… much… money.

THERE ARE FEW things more fun on a Saturday than placing a small sum of money on some outrageous accumulator and then briefly dreaming of the ridiculous purchases you will make with the winnings. Those few minutes before your first selection lets you down are heavenly.

For one lucky bettor in Monaghan, he can keep dreaming and then some. He had a tenfold football accumulator where he picked a result and both teams to score and won a mammoth €245,669 when it all came good.

Those are the picks he made and while there is obviously a lot of luck involved in all of the games, it came down to Marseille vs Bordeaux and that was probably the luckiest.

Marseille were drawing 1-1 with Bordeaux before scoring in the 85th and 91st minutes to win the bet.

This punter should throw some money in the direction of late scorers Michy Batshuayi and André-Pierre Gignac or a least by them a steak dinner.

And this is the winning slip. Are there any clues that we can take from it for future reference?
