Good afternoon, folks. Welcome along to our liveblog of today’s Premier League meeting of Bournemouth and Manchester United in the Premier League.

It’s sixth versus eighth in the English top flight, with United trailing the hosts by three points. Kick-off is at 12.30pm and we’ll keep you updated here throughout the game.

Team news coming up.

BOURNEMOUTH: Begovic, Francis, Steve Cook, Ake, Smith, Lewis Cook, Lerma, Fraser, Brooks, Wilson, Stanislas.

Subs: Boruc, Daniels, Surman, Gosling, Ibe, Mousset, Defoe.

MANCHESTER UNITED: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw, Fred, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Martial, Sanchez.

Subs: Romero, Darmian, Jones, Herrera, McTominay, Lingard, Rashford.

Of Romelu Lukaku’s omission, Jose Mourinho says the striker “felt something that needs to be studied in the next few days” after training yesterday.

It’s underway at the Vitality Stadium, with United sporting their pink away kit.

Alexis Sanchez, as expected, playing through the middle of United’s attack.

Great chance for Bournemouth! Smalling was unable to intercept Wilson’s pass to Fraser, whose shot brought an important save from De Gea.

Fred finds Mata with a nice chip over the top but the Spaniard was ruled offside.

Corner to Bournemouth but United clear the danger from Fraser’s delivery.

Now a corner for United, but Mata’s ball in from the right is collected by Begovic.

That goal was coming for the hosts.

Lewis Cook found Stanislas completely unmarked on the right, and his excellent low cross was finished superbly by Wilson for his sixth goal of the season.

Wilson had twice gone close moments earlier, having a close-range effort saved by De Gea before seeing another attempt deflected wide.

United looking very unsure of themselves at the back.

United coughing up possession far too cheaply here. Bournemouth well on top so far.

Close! Bournemouth almost double their lead as Smith cuts in from the right and sends in a low cross which is inches away from ending up in the back of the net.

Half-chance for Martial to create something on the edge of the box but he’s unable to get the ball under control.

A win today would send Bournemouth into the top four, at least temporarily.

Another opportunity for Bournemouth after some excellent build-up play. Francis tees up Stanislas just outside the box but his effort is saved by De Gea.

Penalty claim waved away for Bournemouth. Shaw crashed into Brooks who went down in the box, but referee Paul Tierney wasn’t convinced.

United finally enjoy a period of sustained possession but it eventually comes to nothing after Pogba gets too much on his diagonal ball to Young.

This has been difficult viewing for United so far. While Bournemouth have looked impressive, Jose Mourinho’s side have been extremely poor.

Chance for United! Martial gets away down the left and sends a ball in for Fred, but his first-time attempt is blocked by Ake — although it may have been heading wide anyway.

It’s more than they deserve but United are back on level terms.

Young and Sanchez link up well on the right before the Chile international finds Martial, whose finish is excellent.

Chance for United to go ahead! Sanchez does well to knock down a long ball for Mata, but his strike goes narrowly wide.

Stanislas finds Fraser in the box and his shot is touched away by De Gea.

Free-kick in a dangerous area for Bournemouth after Fred fouls Lewis Cook on the edge of the box.

Stanislas has a go but fails to beat the wall.

Good link-up play between Fred and Mata, before a Bournemouth defender makes an important block on Sanchez’s strike.

One minute to be added on at the end of the first half.

Slight improvement from United after the equaliser but in general they’ll feel fortunate to be level at the break.

We’ll meet you all back here in a bit.

The game has resumed. Looks like no changes on either side.

Brighter opening to the second half from United. Martial looking particularly lively.

Martial breaks down the left but his cross is disappointing and Begovic collects.

Close for Bournemouth! Fraser does well on the left to cut the ball back for Brooks, whose clever effort produces a vital save from De Gea.

Bournemouth appealing for a handball in the box by Smalling but there didn’t seem to be much in it.

Great ball through by Mata for Martial but Begovic races out to clear the danger.

Begovic to the rescue again! A one-two with Martial sends Shaw through on goal but the Bournemouth goalkeeper denies him.

This is better from United.

Double substitution for United: Herrera and Rashford replace Fred and Mata.

Begovic makes another important save, this time from a Sanchez header which was set up when Smalling knocked down Young’s set-piece delivery.

Close! Pogba tees up Herrera, whose low drive drifts narrowly wide.

United get a free-kick just outside the Bournemouth box after a foul on Young by Stanislas.

Close! Young’s effort strikes the woodwork, Rashford’s rebound is kept out by Ake, before Brooks clears Pogba’s attempt off the line. Incredible sequences of events to keep Bournemouth level.

United have dominated the second half so far. They look a completely different side to the one we saw in the first 45 minutes.

Herrera goes close again! Pogba the provider once more, the Spaniard’s delightful strike was only inches off the target.

A chance for Rashford to bear down on goal but the outstanding Ake is there to intervene for Bournemouth.

Dan Gosling replaces Lewis Cook for Bournemouth.

De Gea has to be alert after a shot from Brooks takes an awkward deflection.

A second change for Bournemouth sees Ibe come in for Fraser.

Good cross by Steve Cook but Herrera does well to head clear for a corner.

Bournemouth putting some pressure on as we enter the closing stages.

Jesse Lingard is on for United in place of Alexis Sanchez.

Good work down the left by Pogba, his cross turned away for a corner by Steve Cook. Young fails to beat the first defender with his delivery.

Nervy moment for Ake as his attempt to clear a United cross from the right almost sees the ball end up in his own net, but Begovic keeps it out.

Close! Great move by Bournemouth ends with Brooks forcing De Gea into a save.

Pogba’s knockdown plays Lingard through but the United substitute had strayed offside.

Steve Cook’s long throw is flicked on by Francis but De Gea does well to gather.

Good break by Ibe puts United under pressure deep in their own territory but Brooks squanders possession for the hosts in a promising position.

Nathan Ake chosen as man of the match by Jermaine Jenas on BT Sport.

Close! Great move by United creates a chance for Lingard, whose shot is kept out by Begovic.

Late change for Bournemouth as Surman replaces Stanislas.

Four additional minutes to be played.

That’s surely the winner for United! Pogba’s cross from the left finds Rashford. The substitute has a bit of good fortune in getting the ball under control before tucking it home from close range. Heartbreaking for Bournemouth but delight for the visitors!

Not for the first time this season, Manchester United have come from behind to pick up an important three points.

It’s tough on Bournemouth, who were the better side in the first half and should have been further ahead earlier in the game.

However, a much-improved display from Jose Mourinho’s side in the second half turned the contest in their favour — eventually.
