Brendan Rodgers turns down chance to talk to Liverpool - reports

The Swansea boss reckons he’s better off at the Liberty Stadium rather than Anfield, it seems.

HIGHLY-REGARDED SWANSEA boss Brendan Rodgers has turned down the chance to hold talks with Liverpool chiefs over the managerial vacancy at Anfield, according to reports this morning.

The Northern Ireland native led the Swans to the top flight and impressed in keeping them in the top flight with a swashbuckling, possession-based gameplan.

Liverpool, of course, sacked club legend Kenny Dalglish on Wednesday after they finished a disappointing eighth in the Premier League.

Last night, Wigan chief Dave Whelan granted the Reds permission to speak to his young manager Roberto Martinez. The Fenway group were also apparently keen to talk to Rodgers but it now understood he’s snubbed the chance.

What do you think, Liverpool fans?
