WHEN HE TAKES to the field at the Aviva for the final time as an Irish international tomorrow, Brian O’Driscoll will do so in style thanks to his boot manufacturers.
The centre will win a record 140th cap tomorrow in this custom footwear which feature his own initials as well an A for his wife Amy and an S for his daughter Sadie.
The 35-year old’s new boots also have the words ‘Leinster’ and ‘Ad Astra’ sewn in. The latter is Latin for “to the stars”, which features on his club UCD’s crest.
We don’t know about you, but we think they look pretty smart:
