Brolly debate rages on as Ted Walsh has a pop at Sunday Game analyst

The racehorse trainer was provoked after the pundit dismissed Kildare’s chances in their upcoming fixture with Donegal.

RACEHORSE TRAINER TED Walsh is not known for violent outbursts.

However, Sunday Game analyst Joe Brolly seems to be upsetting many people of late, so it was no real surprise when the Cork-born Walsh had a go at Brolly during the Galway Races yesterday.

Speaking during a break in racing, talk turned to Kildare’s upcoming game with Donegal.

It seems Walsh, who is currently based in Kildare, took exception to Brolly’s comments regarding the county’s quarter-final appearance being “as far as they’ll go”.

In response, he quipped:

“I hope they ram it down Joe Brolly’s throat before the week is over.”

Walsh has not been the first person to be provoked by Brolly’s comments in recent weeks, after he derided the Cork football team’s style of play despite winning the All-Ireland last year.

He then refused to backtrack on these comments, despite being widely condemned for his somewhat dismissive attitude towards the Cork side.
