Can't touch this: Klitschko wants to finish Mormeck quickly

Wladimir Klitschko is gunning for a knockout when he defends his world heavyweight titles against Jean-Marc Mormeck on Saturday.

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO WANTS the 50th knockout of his career in his heavyweight title defence against Jean-Marc Mormeck in Germany on Saturday.

In his 60th fight, Klitschko will defend his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO titles against the inexperienced Frenchman in Dusseldorf.

“I will fight for my victory and obviously a knockout is the best for me and the audience,” Klitschko said.

Mormeck is a former cruiserweight world champion with just three heavyweight fights under his belt.

He gives away seven inches and almost 30 pounds to the Ukrainian but Klitschko still thinks the 39-year-old challenger will be a threat.

“He is smaller (Mormeck) but he has less weight, is more agile and will have advantages in the short distance,” Klitschko said.

“He will try to use his advantages there.”

“My strategy will be to hold him on distance and try to knock him out before he touches, as he calls it, my ‘glass chin’.”

Klitschko is the overwhelming favourite to win, with Mormeck not having fought in over a year.
