On the move: Carlo Cudicini set for LA Galaxy switch
ITALIAN GOALKEEPER CARLO Cudicini appears destined for the United States after Tottenham Hotspur announced that they have reached an agreement to sell him to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 39-year-old former Chelsea player joined Spurs in 2009 but has been unable to nail down a first-team place at White Hart Lane amid competition from Brad Friedel and Hugo Lloris.
“We have reached agreement for the transfer of Carlo Cudicini to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy,” Spurs announced on their official website.
“Carlo joined us from Chelsea in January 2009 and went on to make a total of 37 appearances. We wish Carlo all the best for the future.”
A move to LA would see Cudicini reunited with former Spurs team-mate Robbie Keane, who was part of the Galaxy team that triumphed over Houston Dynamo in last month’s MLS Cup final in David Beckham’s final game for the club.
