THE DRAW FOR this season’s Champions League group stages has just been made in Monaco this evening.
Holders Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur and Apoel while five-time winners Barcelona were drawn with last season’s runners-up Juventus, Olympiacos and Sporting Club de Portugal.
Manchester United will play Benfica, Basel and CSKA Moscow in Group A, while Manchester City are in Group F alongside Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Feyenoord.
Liverpool also face a trip to eastern Europe after they were drawn together with Spartak Moscow and they’ve also got Sevilla and Maribor in Group E.
Celtic were paired alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Anderlecht in Group B, while Chelsea will meet Atletico Madrid, Roma and first-timers Qarabag in Group C with a record five English teams qualifying for the competition.
