Racing fans again cross fingers as Cheltenham course set for early inspection

Organisers will carry out an 8am precautionary inspection ahead of the third day of the Festival.

WE’VE HAD ONE on each of the first two days at Prestbury Park this week, and Cheltenham officials will again carry out a racecourse inspection this morning.

Organisers announced an 8am precautionary inspection for the chase and hurdles courses ahead of the third day of the Festival. Overnight temperatures were expected to drop to minus 6C.

Yesterday, Sprinter Sacre stole the show in the blue-riband Queen Mother Champion Chase.
