CHRIS FORRESTER IS no stranger to top class goals.

The St Patrick’s Athletic star has produced some stunning efforts during his relatively short career in the SSE Airtricity League and the 21-year-old popped up with another for the YouTube highlights reel last night.

Forrester drove an unstoppable effort home from 30-yards in the Saints’ 4-2 win away to Bray Wanderers, but had to wait a couple of minutes while referee Paul Tuite and assistant Michelle O’Neill decided whether it had crossed the line.

“To be fair, I didn’t think it went in,” Forrester told RTÉ’s Tony O’Donoghue after the final whistle. “Obviously I was delighted that it did.

“I asked her (the referee’s assistant) at half-time and she said it was about a yard across the line so I’ll take that.”

On his team-mates goals, he added: “Fahey’s was a cross and Conan’s was a cross so mine was ten time better!”
