Ireland's Cillian Sheridan scored his first Champions League goal tonight

The APOEL frontman was on target in a 2-2 draw with HJK Helsinki.

IRELAND INTERNATIONAL CILLIAN Sheridan scored a valuable equaliser for Cypriot champions APOEL in the Champions League this evening.

The 25-year-old Cavan native, who joined the club from Kilmarnock in 2013, headed home on 74 minutes to help his side grab a draw and two away goals against HJK Helsinki in the third qualifying round.

It is a first goal in the competition for the former Celtic striker, who is capped three times for Ireland’s senior team.
