CLARE AND WEXFORD’S replay will take place next Saturday at Wexford Park after yesterday’s dramatic draw in their All-Ireland senior hurling qualifier tie in Ennis.

The teams played out a 2-25 apiece draw in Cusack Park and it has been confirmed that the replay will be held at 5pm next Saturday July 12th.

But several young prospects in the Wexford squad will face a hectic week with the Bord Gáis Energy Leinster U21 hurling final still going ahead this Wednesday night – July 9th.

Wexford will meet Dublin in the decider in Parnell Park but there had been speculation over the weekend that the game would be deferred with key U21 players like Conor McDonald, Jack Guiney and Liam Ryan all involved in the senior setup.

It has now been confirmed that both fixtures will take place this week.
