Snapshot: Flooding means Skerries have had to cancel a J2 match

The club’s flooded pitch has seen tomorrow’s game called off.


SEVERAL PHOTOS OF the Liffey overflowing in Dublin have been doing the rounds today, bit this one tweeted out by the official Clontarf RFC account is of most interest from a sporting perspective.

The flooding of the pitch at Skerries RFC means the J2 match scheduled against Clontarf at the club’s Holmpatrick ground has had to be called off. It’s pretty severe flooding, and you can see for yourself why the match has been cancelled.
