Cloud nine: Barca stroll to 9-0 win over Hospitalet

WATCH: Last night’s Copa del Rey game at the Camp Nou was slightly one-sided…

BARCELONA WERE IN no mood for festive charity last night as they thumped nine goals past helpless Hospitalet in the Copa del Rey last 32.

The Catalan minnows managed to hold their northern neighbours to a 1-0 win in the first leg but quickly found themselves under the cosh in the Camp Nou last night.

A Pedro penalty opened the scoring for Barca after just 11 minutes before Iniesta, Thiago, Xavi and Cristian Tello all struck before half-time.

After the break, it was more of the same as the recently-crowned World Club Champions heaped on the pain with Thiago and Tello doubling their individual tally and Isaac Cuenca bagging a brace of his own.

Should Barcelona and Real Madrid both win their respective last 16 ties, the two giants will meet again in a clasico quarter-final.
