WE DEFY YOU to begrudge the Highlanders a little moment in the sun after this sweeping move, finished off by Colin Slade, set them up for their first win of the Super XV season.

You may remember, the Highlanders were on the wrong end of a thrilling exchange against the Chiefs under the same Dunedin roof in February. Well this weekend, on the occasion of Brad Thorn’s 100th Super Rugby appearance, they took the spoils with a 25-22 win over the Natal Sharks.

This try was their final score of the game and the contributions  fullback Ben Smith, scrum-half Aaron Smith and prop Chris King proved telling when the south island side was left to defend their line without the sin-binned Thorn in the final seconds.
