14 MONTHS AFTER rupturing his ACL and fracturing his knee playing for Dr Crokes, Colm Cooper made a return to competitive football this afternoon.

The Kerry forward replaced Bryan Sheehan for the final 10 minutes of the Allianz Football League Division One meeting with Tyrone, which ended in a draw, and came through unscathed.

It has been a long, hard road back to fitness for the 31-year-old, who had to watch last year’s All-Ireland senior football triumph from the sidelines. Below is a documentary detailing his recovery.
