Angry Coventry City fan invades pitch to confront players mid-game

The irate supporter was persuaded to leave the field by Dubliner Michael Doyle.

LEAGUE TWO STRUGGLERS Forest Green Rovers claimed a 1-0 victory over Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena last night.

Michael Doyle fan Michael Doyle talks the man into leaving.

During the game, one particular fan was unhappy with his team’s performance and decided to enter the field of play to give them a piece of his mind.

Incredibly, the irate man was allowed to walk onto the pitch and confront the Coventry players with no stewards in sight.

After some persuading from Sky Blues captain Michael Doyle — who was once capped at senior level for Ireland — he eventually jumped back over the advertising hoarding and wandered off.
