'I like a little dive myself': Damien Duff is a gloriously honest football analyst

The international winger is calling it as he sees it on TV3.

DIVING, THE SCOURGE of the otherwise pure game of association football, if you believe the usual suspects on the punditry circuit in Ireland and Britain.

However, with TV3′s recent push to get actual real life current professional footballers on the panel for their Champions League coverage we’re being treated to a more modern take on the modern game.

Asked for his view on a potential penalty for his former club, Chelsea, Damien Duff backed the non-award and said by the letter of the law a yellow card could be awarded, but added:

“I’m probably the wrong man to ask. I like a little dive myself.”

Never change, Duffer. Never change.
