IRISHMAN DAMIEN MacGraith has been named as first referee’s assistant for the Uefa Super Cup final on 11 August.

Tbilisi’s Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena hosts the one-off match, which pits the winners of the Champions League against the Europa League holders, and this year it is an all-Spanish affair as Barcelona meet Sevilla.

It won’t be the first time Mayo native MacGraith, a secondary school teacher and regular refereeing the SSE Airtritiy League, has officiated in a fixture involving Barca as he was inovlved in their Champions League group game with Ajax at the Nou Camp last year.
