THIS WEEK, HEINEKEN devised a devilish plan to attract rugby fans and pundits into a room to talk about the upcoming Heineken Cup.
Yes, with the promise of an I-Pad to play with and the sight of delicious, free lager pouring across the room, George Hook was in a hurry to get his point across and, as ever, he cut straight to his point.
“I think we’re going to see the end of a lot of partnerships in Leinster and Irish rugby that we’re used to watching. D’Arcy and O’Driscoll being the one that is likely to end this season.” Said Hook, adding: “I wouldn’t pick D’Arcy, no.”
The Newstalk and RTE pundit also questioned the ability of Paddy Jackson (calling him “overrated” in the full length broadcast) and calling for Ulster to employ a more inventive backs coach.
