Scott Carson double bluffs himself to concede bizarre penalty

The former England international tried to psyche out David Nugent. The tactic almost worked.

SCOTT CARSON RETURNED from a spell in Turkish football this summer to help Wigan in their attempts to return to the Premier League.

When Leicester City were awarded a penalty against The Latics on Saturday, the former Liverpool and England goalkeeper decided to bring out a move that probably worked a few times in training. Carson positioned himself beside his righthand post as David Nugent placed the ball and sought to make it 2-0. It very almost nearly worked:
