DAVY FITZGERALD IS more used to wearing a tracksuit but the Clare boss swapped the bainisteoir bib for a cap and gown yesterday.
The All-Ireland-winning boss was honoured by Limerick IT at its inaugural Fellowship ceremony.
The Fellowships were formally presented by LIT President Dr Maria Hinfelaar, pictured, with former GAA chief Sean Kelly reading the citation for Fitzgerald.
As well as the Banner manager, the college honoured LIT academic Patricia Burke, former Governing Body chairman John Clifford, former Acting CEO of the then Tipperary Institute Luke Murtagh and artist John Shinnors.
