After a week of recriminations, Real Madrid have accused Barca’s Sergio Busquets (who else?) of racially abusing their man Marcelo.

In another twist to this increasingly ugly soap opera, UEFA have dispatched legendary former referee Pierluigi Collina to the Camp Nou as an assessor.

With tensions high after a the red-blooded first-leg six days ago – the result of which saw UEFA open up disciplinary proceedings against both clubs – they’ve decided to appoint their biggest name official as referee Frank de Bleeckere’s monitor.
