SPRING? Spring shming! I’m staying in to watch sport all weekend. I don’t recognise that large bright ball in the skies anyway.

  • One to sit in for: The League of Ireland season kicks off tonight. RTÉ are showing the first in a mini-series of Shamrock Rovers games over the coming weeks as they go live from Hunky Dory Park tonight.
  • One to Sky-plus: TG4 will show the Fitzgibbon Cup final. Get on it.
  • One to miss: Call me irresponsible, but I can see myself skipping cricket’s Commonwealth Bank Series final.
