KATIE TAYLOR WRAPPED up her weekend’s work with another convincing win over Jessica Belder in the second women’s boxing international between Ireland and Holland.
The three-time world champion was in fine form when she beat Belder 25-5 in the National Stadium on Friday night, and completed the double over her opponent with a classy 27-4 decision in the Cavan Crystal Hotel last night.
Taylor’s win at lightweight was one of three for the Irish team against international opposition. Her Bray BC team-mate Laoise Traynor edged Lisa de Vilder of Holland 16-13 in a tight welterweight bout, while World Youth bronze medallist Michaela Walsh was impressive in her 13-4 win against Kristen Fraser of Scotland.
Elsewhere on the card, Jade Corcoran of Crumlin had a 22-12 win against Daria Lach of Cavan, while Oliwia Samsanov, Dervla Duffy and Sinead Kavanagh all fell to defeats.
