Grosskreutz scores late to save Dortmund from Europa League

Last season’s beaten finalists were minutes away from exiting the Champions League.

FOR A WHILE tonight, it looked like the second best team in Germany and Europe last season was about to slip into the mists of Thursday night football.

Arsenal fell behind to a Gonzalo Higuain goal in Napol to put the Italians level with the Gunners in group F and ahead of Borussia Dortmund who were pegged back at a goal apiece against Marseille.

Then, in the 87th minute with Napoli looking content with their lot against 10-man Arsenal, fullback Kevin Grosskreutz stepped up and did this to help Dortmund leapfrog into top spot and consign Napoli to the Europa League.
