Open Thread: Who will join Donegal in the All Ireland football final?

Mayo travel to Croke Park to face reigning champions Dublin this afternoon. Can they cause an upset?

THIS AFTERNOON AT Croke Park two sides meet who have managed to reach the All Ireland’s final four with relatively little fuss.

Mayo, the perennial nearly-men of Gaelic football, come in under the radar despite having also reached a league final this year.

Dublin, the reigning champions, are unbeaten since 2010.

Yet, aside from the managers who have watched their teams lose against Pat Gilroy’s ‘machine’, they have impressed few.

One set of players will be lauded by 5pm this evening, the others, castigated for failing on the big stage.

The summer will really hot up at 3.30 today, but who will shine brightest?
