VIDEO: Irish U19 sprint champion uses his pace to score point for Meath

Is this the fastest man in Gaelic football?

IS THIS THE fastest man in Gaelic football?

It was a big night in the Gaelic football career of Ratoath’s Eamonn Wallace on Saturday in Aughrim.

The youngster made his senior football championship debut for the Royals as they faced Wicklow in the Leinster championship.

Wallace entered the game with a reputation as a speedster after last year winning gold medals for the 100m and 200m distances at the U19 grade in the All-Ireland track and field championship.

And he used that pace to devastating effect here in notching his first ever point in the senior championship as Meath triumphed in the game by 1-17 to 1-12.
