Copeland's 45-metre sprint and Emerging Ireland's other tries against Romania

Dominic Ryan and Craig Gilroy also crossed, while there was a penalty try that echoed events elsewhere.

EMERGING IRELAND CLAIMED the IRB Nations Cup yesterday thanks to a 31-10 victory over hosts Romania at the Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf.

Captain Dominic Ryan was first over the tryline for Dan McFarland’s men, with impressive Ulster wing Craig Gilroy following him before the half-time break. No. 8 Robin Copeland scored immediately after the interval, before Ireland were awarded a late penalty try that was similar to the one conceded by Wales against South Africa on Saturday.
