DUBLINER EOIN DOYLE is on quite the goalscoring run at the moment.
The Preston North End striker has been loaned out to Oldham Athletic until January, and so far it has proved an extremely successful spell.
Last night, the Latics faced local rivals Bury in League One and Doyle sent them on the way to a 2-1 victory with the opening goal.
On 24 minutes, ex-Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers forward finished off a neat passage of play with a clinical strike — his 10th league goal in 11 appearances this term.
Manager John Sheridan was sacked in September, with the likes of Paul Scholes and Clarence Seedorf both linked with the job.
However, the club opted to hand caretaker boss Richie Wellens the role on a full-time basis, and they are now seven games unbeaten.
Another Irishman, Jack Byrne, has also been earning rave reviews since joining on loan from Wigan Athletic at the start of the season.
The former Manchester City youngster has made 11 starts so far — scoring twice and providing three assists.
